Provides a valuable service to existing and new CREW-St. Louis members by coordinating registration at monthly CREW-St. Louis events and welcoming new CREW-St. Louis members. Additionally, the Ambassador Committee organizes the annual CREW-St. Louis Dine-Around events. These informal dining events provide an opportunity to network and build lasting relationships with other members.
Responsible for promoting the programs and activities of the chapter. In addition, the committee increases brand recognition of CREW-St. Louis in the region through media outreach, social media channels and the chapter’s website. The committee promotes the achievements of members as well. The bimonthly enewsletter keeps members, prospects and local leaders informed on the chapter’s news and activities. Brand recognition is furthered by developing a consistent graphic look and messaging.
Member Services Committee
The committee oversees three main objectives:
- Hosting CREW Career and UCREW events at area schools
- Providing CREW scholarship information and materials to colleges and universities throughout Missouri
- Collecting and encouraging donations to CREW Network Foundation to support its initiatives, including industry research, career outreach and scholarship endowment.
Member Services establishes connections and interacts with local high schools and colleges/universities to introduce female students to opportunities and professions in commercial real estate. This effort includes connecting with women students interested in pursuing careers in commercial real estate and raising awareness about CREW-St. Louis and CREW Network.
Plans and carries out the annual CREW-St. Louis Golf Classic. Considered one of the region’s premier networking and golf events, the committee works with the Sponsorship and Programs Committees to ensure an efficiently run event. Subcommittees organize and achieve a variety of tasks. These subcommittees provide numerous opportunities to work with the leaders in the real estate industry to solicit players and sponsors to create a successful tournament.
Manages and strengthens the chapter’s membership. Responsibilities include maintaining the chapter's membership roster, working with CREW Network and members for updating member information and payment of dues, reviewing and submitting to the Board new member applications, identifying and targeting prospective members. The Membership Committee works with Ambassadors Committee to plan and host new member events.
Solicits sponsorships from current and new sponsors annually. The Sponsorship Committee works with the Programs, Awards and Golf Committees to place sponsorships with the various events they choose to sponsor.
Jennifer A. Merlo
Develops and executes monthly educational and networking events that support the mission of CREW-St. Louis. The committee identifies program topics, speakers and venues that reflect the latest in commercial real estate trends, as well as keys to advancing career success. CREW-St. Louis members-only programs are special events designed to enhance membership.
Coordinates CREW-St. Louis’ Annual Networking Awards, which recognize significant contributions by CREW-St. Louis members and a Woman of Influence in the St. Louis region. The committee oversees the nomination process for the award categories. These awards showcase CREW-St. Louis’ mission in action while also celebrating the achievements of women in shaping the region’s commercial real estate industry and economic development.
