Greetings fellow CREW-St. Louis members,
What an exciting, fast-paced first quarter!
After our hospitality panel in January, CREW-St. Louis followed up with Helen Leung from LA-Mas to share an innovative affordable housing initiative called “The Backyard Homes Project.”
On Feb. 20, our membership committee hosted a prospective member happy hour at the Blue Duck in Maplewood. Some 20 attendees enjoyed drinks, appetizers and great conversation. And our new members networked during an orientation breakfast on March 13th at NAI DESCO. Special thanks to Michelle Miller, an associate with NAI DESCO, for hosting the new member get together.
A lot of planning and preparation went into our 14th Annual CREW St. Louis Networking Awards event on March 5th. Thanks to our Awards Committee led by Dawn Humphreys and Mande Meyer for another successful event! This event is one of our biggest of the year, and rightly so as we celebrated several aspiring honorees. Read about the accomplishments of our award winners here
, and be sure to congratulate them. From our New Member of the Year to our Woman of Influence, each award winner had a long list of accolades to celebrate, and their achievements epitomize our mission.
And there’s still more…our 2019 mentorship program is underway. Mentor and Mentee candidates turned in their applications on March 1st. The task force, which is a part of our Member Services Committee, will now review applications and match candidates to kick off the program in early April.
I also want to give a special shout out to our 2019 sponsors
. We thank you and applaud you for your commitment to CREW-St. Louis in helping us further our mission to advance, educate and support women to influence the commercial real estate industry. Your generosity helped us surpass our sponsorship goals for the year!
As much as we’ve accomplished so far, we’re just getting started. Yes, we Aspire
to achieve more collectively and individually.
I look forward to seeing you at our next event on April 9th at the St. Louis Club where we will be joined by Nancy Schnoebelen Imbs, the Founder of Polished. It’s an interesting and informative program that will be focused on diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias, and the importance of women in leadership roles so please be sure to join us. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out with any questions.
