Greetings fellow CREW-St. Louis members,
As we near the end of another CREW year, I am so appreciative of your support and of all the accomplishments the chapter has achieved.
Our executive and advisory boards are an exceptional group of leaders, each accomplishing great things individually and collaboratively. It’s been my pleasure to work alongside each of them to carry out our mission and the operations of the chapter to help serve you.
I’d like to brag a little on each of our outstanding committees that keep the chapter running so smoothly. Below are just a few highlights:
Our Ambassadors Committee, led by Lauren Berry and Michelle Miller, which helps welcome new members and serve existing members, organized more than 40 dine-arounds, including 26 during our annual dine-arounds in August, throughout the year. They also collaborated with Membership to launch our new Member Orientation programs.
The Awards Committee, led by Dawn Humphreys and Mande Meyer, oversees our annual networking awards to recognize significant contributions by CRE leaders. The event brought about 170 industry professionals together at the St. Louis Women’s Club with Emcee Monica Adams to celebrate their accomplishments.
Our Communications Committee, led by Katie Seibel and Sharon Henderson, promotes the activities of the chapter as well as our members. They have increased social media followers by 33 percent and continue to build CREW-St. Louis’ brand in the region.
The Golf Committee, led by Mickey Warriner and Colette Letendre, oversees our annual golf tournament including volunteer and sponsor coordination. More than 170 golfers participated on a beautiful July day, and the committee organized 24 volunteers.
Our Member Services Committee, led by Samantha Hurrell and Sarah Luem, promotes our support of CREW Network Foundation and coordinates CREW Career and UCREW events with area schools. They once again met the “trifecta” goal for CREW Network Foundation. Additionally, our first trivia night benefited the Foundation, raising $7,600.
The Membership Committee, led by Erin Torney and Molly Studer, helps strengthen the chapter’s membership, including recruitment. This year, the committee has helped recruit more than 50 new members. They also collaborated with Ambassadors to host our new Member Orientation programs.
The Programs Committee, led by Christine Beck and Christine Ramsdell, develop and execute our monthly educational and networking events. This year, the committee managed nine events, averaging 90 attendees. The annual signature event featured keynote speaker Maxine Clark, founder of Build-a-Bear Workshop.
The Sponsorship Committee, led by Angie Drumm and Alice Benner, helps to recruit and retain annual sponsorships. The committee exceeded its goal by 30 percent. They also recognized sponsors with a new VIP appreciation happy hour event before our Signature Event.
Together, our volunteers have reached great heights, and I am truly excited to see Tracy Howren lead a new team of members as she steps into her role as president in 2020. As we look to the future, I know that Tracy and our board will continue to aspire to do great things for the chapter and in their individual careers.
Thank you for your unconditional support and kind words throughout the year. It means more than you’ll ever know.
As always, feel free to reach out at any time.
