President's Message

Hello!

What an exciting time to be a CREW-St. Louis member! We just reached a milestone, topping 250 members! But it’s more than a number. It offers each of us 250-plus colleagues to answer questions, solve problems, network, develop friendships and help advance our careers.

There’s more great news for our members. In May, we held a virtual tour of the Kingsway Development. Kevin Bryant and Brian Pratt gave us insights on the revitalization of the Fountain Park neighborhood.

We also were deep in planning for the CREW Network Global Leadership Summit that was held in Downtown St. Louis in June. More than 230 members came to St. Louis, not to mention more than 60 CREW-St. Louis members who attended. Plus, another 100-plus members tuned in virtually.

We rocked it. Members complimented our chapter, our city and our ability to host such a prestigious event. Many thanks go out to Angie Earlywine and Melody Cooper for leading the local effort! They raised the bar on how to host a Leadership Summit, with the addition of a Cardinals game, a fabulous Board Dinner/tour at Union Station, outstanding Dine-Arounds and continuous replenishment of our Hospitality table with St. Louis favorites like Fitz’s Root Beer, Gus’s pretzels, Gooey Butter cake and Bissinger’s chocolates.

What better way to top it off then with a Friday night Happy Hour atop the 360, a sold-out event with more than 125 members networking and reliving the Summit. No other Summit concluded with such a great sendoff for our guests.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and thank you to the more than 60 St. Louis members that attended the event! It was a great way to show off St. Louis . . . and our chapter!

We won’t sit still as planning continued – and continues – for several more in-person events.

More than 50 members and industry colleagues attended the Psychology of Self Promotion event on July 22. All came away with tools to increase their branding, hone their interviewing skills, and expand their networking capabilities.

This also included our 25th Annual CREW-St. Louis Golf Classic on July 26 at Norwood Hills Country Club. The sold-out crowd on the course and at the Happy Hour bear testament that this has become the industry’s premier golf and networking event.

We also are looking forward to celebrating our 16th Annual CREW- St. Louis Networking Awards on Aug. 26! This event honors members who put our mission into action by advancing, educating and supporting women to influence the region’s commercial real estate industry.

We are also excited to be working on our 1st Sponsorship Vendor Day, which will be on Sept. 15. It’s a great way to thank and highlight our Sponsors while you can find out more about their services and enjoy a beverage and appetizers.

Yes, there’s so much activity as our committees remain focused to support our mission and our members. These committees always welcome more hands so please feel welcome to get involved. We will take as little or as much time as you are willing to give. I promise that you won’t regret it! We are also working on our 2022 Leadership team. Hard to believe but this team will be charged with planning our 40th Anniversary party next year!

With so much activity, we send out many emails to keep you informed. Please consider blocking out a few minutes on your calendar each week to catch up on all things CREW.

And I’m always eager to hear your suggestions for our chapter, and especially reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Nancy Petersen
