Networking with Members and Pooches
Both two-legged and four-legged friends gathered on April 12 at the Bar K dog park. Members, guests and family pets headed to the new venue in the Grove to share companionship with each other and the park’s wide-open spaces for everyone’s best friend – their furry, four-legged dogs.
Leib Dodell, Bar K founder, provided a tour of the complex, which opened late last year. Bar K features a 10,000-square-foot indoor off-leash space, themed bar, restaurant and event area. Operable garage doors open onto an additional two acres with multiple seating areas for humans and a splash pad for dogs.
Liz DeBold Austin, Chief Marketing Officer of Green Street Real Estate Ventures, shared comments about the park. She also discussed why Green Street decided to move its headquarters nearby when it ran out of room at its former space in Clayton. Liz then gave a tour of Green Street’s new headquarters.
“Many thanks to Bar K for allowing CREW to host our Happy Hour there,” says Rene La Bruyere. “What a wonderful space! Besides seeing my fellow members and networking with them, I got to pet a lot of dogs.”
