Ringing in the Holidays

CREW-St. Louis members gathered on Dec. 11 at Third Degree Glass Factory to celebrate the season. And what a way to celebrate the year nearly ended and another just on the horizon!

The setting with gorgeous glass work on display made for a perfect backdrop to the evening’s festivities. And, yes, many purchases of glass ornaments, decorative houseware items and more were purchased as perfect gifts for family and friends.

Above all, the annual holiday gathering gave everyone an opportunity to share the spirit of the season while enjoying a drink or two and some fabulous hors d'oeuvres.

The evening included comments from Lynn Goessling, 2018 President, who relayed the personal growth she achieved during her leadership. But it was the teamwork of all concerned that made her tenure productive and inspiring.

Lynn highlighted several of the chapter’s achievements during 2018. The chapter’s formal Mentoring program was launched and will be expanded this year. The Annual Golf Classic was a sellout, retaining its position as the industry’s premier networking event. The signature event in November drew rave reviews, as did the entire program lineup throughout the year. Sponsorship and membership continue to generate interest and growth. The Annual Awards program honored members and continues to gain stature. Communications continued to elevate the chapter’s brand awareness and reach audiences through its many efforts, including social media. The chapter was recognized by CREW Network for its outstanding support of the CREW Network Foundation. And the Ambassadors and Member Services committees provided support and outreach to welcome new members and to encourage young women to consider careers in commercial real estate.

None of this would have been possible without the talent and support of the Executive Board and Committee Chairs and their Committee Members, Lynn noted.

Of course, the evening would not be complete without honoring Lynn’s dedication to the chapter’s mission. 2019 President Michelle Yates presented Lynn with a Tiffany bracelet to recognize her service.

“What a great night,” says Jenna Knatt, sales account executive with CI Select. “We passed the torch, sipped the bubbly and celebrated each other. We toasted a successful 2018 and looked optimistically to the new year.”
