President’s Message

Hello CREW-St. Louis Members!

It is hard for me to believe that I am at the end of my term serving as your CREW-St. Louis President. What an honor to serve as your Chapter President during 2022! I thank you for your friendship and support and your commitment to our common mission to advance, educate and support women to influence the commercial real estate industry.

I served as our Chapter’s Delegate, President-Elect and President over the past several years. This experience contributed to my ongoing growth as a leader. The visibility provided opportunities that I could have not imagined before. Not only did I routinely engage with our members, but CREW Network invited me to participate in several initiatives, including speaking during the CREW Network Opening Ceremony and selecting me to serve as a CREW Network Foundation Champion Director in 2023 and 2024. My CREW leadership experiences have been an honor, and I highly encourage you to join a Committee and investigate your own leadership opportunities with our Chapter!

I am also quite proud of what we accomplished during 2022. Every Committee exceeded my expectations! I will not attempt to list all these successes but please know that I and the rest of the Chapter are extremely thankful for your efforts.

I started my Presidency with two major initiatives: The establishment of our new Strategic Plan, and, secondly, preparing for and hosting our 40th Anniversary Celebration. Our leadership and volunteers tackled each of these successfully!

All our successes required a team effort: excellent leadership from our Executive Board; dedication of our Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs; and the work of our amazing volunteers. You continue to impress me with your leadership and talent to improve our initiatives through your execution. Such values and dedication make us the premier commercial real estate organization in St. Louis. I am excited to watch all of you continue to grow as leaders and take our Chapter to new heights!

Since our last newsletter, we have continued to host some great events, bringing exceptional value to our members:
  • A Young Professionals Workshop on Accept the Compliment (p.s. ALWAYS accept the compliment!);
  • A Keynote and National Speaker and Author, Julie Brown, author of This Sh!t Works (to say that she was entertaining is probably a huge understatement – she was awesome, real and hilarious!);
  • Several Dine-arounds, Coffee with CREW and even a Bourbon Tasting!
We will finish the year strong and enter the new year with some great events. These included our Holiday Party at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten on Dec. 13. The Ambassador Committee held a Boxing Event (and happy hour) on Dec. 20 followed by some great Speed Networking on Jan. 10. The Annual CREW-St. Louis/SIOR/SLAR/CCIM Officer Installation event takes place on Jan. 31. I look forward to seeing you at these events!!

In closing, 2023 is shaping up to be another fabulous year with our new Chapter President, Angie Drumm. Angie is a dynamic leader, previously serving in several leadership capacities within CREW-St. Louis. Not only is she smart and fun but she is a loyal friend and staunch supporter of CREW. She will always have all our backs!

I wish you many successes in your future. Don’t hesitate to embrace your power to be empowered! Take risks and support each other to do the same. Believe in yourself. Take that jump and not be comfortable. And don’t forget that YOU drive your career, your success.

Warm wishes to you and your families for a wonderful Holiday Season and a prosperous New Year!

Best,
Stacey Kamps
